Cailey Ellzey

Veterinary Assistant

I've known for as long as I can remember that I wanted a career working with animals. From a young age, I was the kid who always stopped to help a lost pet and played "veterinarian" with my stuffed animals—carefully examining and bandaging them like real patients. Visiting the vet with my own pets was always a highlight; I was fascinated by how the doctors performed exams and explained their findings. It inspired me to learn more about how I could help animals live longer, happier, and healthier lives.

Throughout high school, I took every animal science class available to prepare for a future in veterinary medicine. In 2019, I officially began working as a veterinary assistant, and I’ve loved every minute of it. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching a sick pet recover and return to their playful, tail-wagging self—and seeing the joy and relief on their families faces makes it even more meaningful.

I’m especially passionate about Fear Free care and am proud to be Level 1 Fear Free Certified. This means I focus on reducing the fear, anxiety, and stress that many pets experience during veterinary visits. My goal is to help make each visit as calm and positive as possible—for both pets and their people. I believe in working as a team to make sure your furry family member feels safe and loved.

I’m so excited to meet you and your pet, and I look forward to working together in helping them stay happy and healthy for years to come!
